Less than 2 weeks away from the mission trip, and everything felt so surreal. All the work that we have put into MEMO's missions is finally coming to fruition.

Today is our training day. We're going to be reminding 16Gers on what to expect for the mission trip as well as refresh them on vitals training. It was going to a busy day, because on top of 3-4 hours of training, officers and BOD members had to get to Memorial Hospital early to pack boxes and gets things set up for the training.

9:00AM hit and I woke up from the sound of my alarm. I usually take less than 30 minutes to get up and get ready, but I always give myself an hour if I ever need to take extra time. The day before, I had asked my brother to help me drive boxes to the hospital for me as I had a lot of MEMO equipments stored at my place. My brother and I arrived at the hospital at around 10:00, and started to unload our cars.

After saying bye to my brother, I met up with my fellow officers and BOD members. We immediately got started to group ourselves into groups to start packing supplies up fothe mission trip. I was grouped with Siana to organize the cholesterol supplies. It was super chill as we had ordered supplies for cholesterol, so we did not have to count the supplies individually. For the other supplies, we just estimated how much we had, and based on that decide if we needed to order more supplies in case. After counting supplies, we tested the machines and after finding out if they function, we took the batteries out as they aren't allowed going through the airport. Once we were done, Siana started taping the boxes up and I moved to the orphanage station to help organized clothes in respective boxes.

12:30 approached, and the students from dental training were getting ready to leave Dr.Bui's office to head to the hospital site to get the medical training started. We were supposed to start training at 1:30, but we needed time to eat some lunch, and to mention Dr.Bui had to be late... In any case, we started organizing the tables into different sections: cholesterol, blood pressure, glucose, Vietnamese terminologies, EKG, pharmacy, break, and emergency medicine.

Soon after Dr.Bui arrived, we got started with introductions (which took a good chunk of our time 💀). Luckily, we were able to cut some parts short, so that we can actually have time to get the training started. After about 30-45 minutes of talking/presentation, we got the training started which Kevin and I were in charge of. I was teaching the cholesterol station with Jaimie! 😎 I love teaching cholesterol because it feels the most rewarding since it's the most difficult vitals (IMO). Training went smoothly as Jaimie and I took turns teaching/getting pricked while covering anything that was not mentioned by the other person. Since I was vlogging today, I had to go take pictures while Jaimie was watching the students practice. After about 6 rotations, we were done and everyone started cleaning up.

I would say it was a super long and tiring day, but BOD ended the night we have our last dinner with Jules before gong on the mission trip! 🥹 Just like that, the day has ended up and I hope you look forward to reading the rest of the 16G blogs!
